The Hong Kong 6G Wireless Summit (IEEE HK6GWS 2023) is scheduled to take place at Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel, Hong Kong. This event will be conducted in person, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in the conference experience. However, we understand that some authors may encounter travel difficulties, such as obtaining visas. In such cases, assistance for traveling will be considered upon approval by the General Chairs. Virtual participation in the conference will not be supported.
The event will include an attractive program with participation from prominent academics, leading industry members and practitioners, and government leaders. It will offer attendees from research and industry innovative insights from industry leaders and academic pioneers regarding the latest research on 6G and standards activities from leading wireless research centers around the world. The presentations will only include invited talks and panels and are intended to provide critical information on 6G technological advances to help guide current and future decisions on the use and implementation of these technologies. Speakers and attendees will network and learn from each other through synergies across technologies in industry, academia, and government.
The Areas of Excellence (AoE) Scheme project on 6G will provide the primary support for the Hong Kong 6G Wireless Summit 2023, which will target 6G wireless access and connectivity for an intelligent and sustainable world. AoE is a research center of excellence in Hong Kong that aims to promote knowledge and scientific advancements through the provision of high standards of research, leadership, services, and education. It is supported by the Hong Kong government Area of Excellence (AOE) program from the University Grants Committee of Hong Kong under the project titled“6G: Wireless Access and Connectivity for an Intelligent and Sustainable World”with the active support of four Hong Kong Universities, HKUST, PolyU, CUHK, and HKU. The AoE project is a multidisciplinary endeavor consisting of an integrated and focused program of research, technological development, and education. The expansive project will be led by scholars already recognized for their world-class research records and pioneering innovations, which have profoundly impacted the field of wireless communications. By harnessing our complementary expertise along with our proven track record of collaboration, we will develop 6G technologies by carrying out groundbreaking fundamental and applied research, which will lead to scientific breakthroughs while significantly contributing to global sustainability.
